Foxton Primary School had a very successful Ofsted inspection in February 2013. Ofsted concluded that the overall effectiveness of the school is GOOD. Several exemplary features are highlighted including pupils’ excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning, the high quality of its safeguarding arrangements and the very good the levels of care shown by adults. The behaviour and safety of pupils is judged to be OUTSTANDING.

Ofsted congratulated the school for being very welcoming and friendly which values and treats all pupils equally.
The Inspector was impressed by the quality of the teaching in the school. The Inspector wrote: “The sharpness of teacher’s questioning and the very encouraging way teachers build on pupils’ responses to develop new learning are particularly strong features. Staff and pupils share excellent relationships that support pupils’ strong attitudes and enjoyment in learning.”
Chair of Governors, Mr Neil Stout, said: “We all know the importance of a positive, happy and healthy start to school life. Foxton Primary offers this to all its pupils in its enviable rural location. The school operates so well as a team with commitment and energy from all involved in the school. Head Teacher, Phillip Clark, is described as providing strong leadership and direction that have led to improvements in both teaching and pupils’ achievements. He strongly promotes the pupils’ spiritual moral, social and cultural development through a wide variety of stimulating experiences.
