Parental interest and co-operation is essential if children are to derive the greatest benefit from school. This term parents and family were invited to all achievement assemblies.
Every term, parents are invited to talk to staff about their child’s progress and targets for future learning. Each child receives an annual school report towards the end of the Summer Term.
There are many ways in which parents can become actively involved in the life of the school; by assisting on school visits, joining Foxton School Association, becoming a school governor, or helping in the classroom or after school clubs.
The school has a written ‘home-school’ agreement that explains the aims and values of the school. It spells out the responsibilities of the school, the parents, and what the school expects of the pupils. Parents and children will be asked to sign the agreement to show that it has been understood and accepted.
Autumn Term: A 10-minute interview over two nights (3.30-5.30pm, and 5.00-7.30pm) during which the parents are asked to review targets from reports and agree any new targets.
Spring Term: A 10-minute interview over two nights (3.30-5.30pm, and 5.00-7.30pm) during which the parents are asked to review targets from reports and agree any new targets.
Summer Term: An Open Afternoon (2.30-4.00pm) when children show parents their books and together discuss progress in an informal way.
