IQM Inclusive School Award

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to share some fantastic news with you. Following an external assessment earlier this month, Foxton Primary School has been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Inclusive School Award.
The assessor spent a full day in school, speaking with children, staff, governors and parents, visiting lessons and looking closely at every aspect of school life. We are incredibly proud that the report paints such a warm and positive picture of Foxton.
Right from the start, the report describes Foxton as “a place where children feel happy and ready to learn, and where staff feel settled and positive in their work.” It goes on to say that “Individuality and diversity are valued at Foxton and everyone feels supported.”
One of the strongest themes running throughout the report is the importance of relationships and belonging. The assessor noted that children feel safe, listened to and supported, with one child explaining: “Adults always listen to us… and help us if we need help.”
Parents' views featured strongly too, with the report finding “very high levels of confidence in the school.” One parent described Foxton as “a home away from home for my daughter.”
The assessor also highlighted Foxton’s potential to achieve Centre of Excellence status, reflecting the strength of its inclusive culture and commitment to continual improvement.
This recognition belongs to everyone. Thank you to our children, families, staff and governors for making Foxton such a special place. We are proud that our shared commitment to helping every child flourish has been recognised in this way.
The full report is available here on our website, and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did.
Best wishes,
Mr Norman
