Harvest Donations: Jubilee Food Bank

As part of our Harvest celebration, we have decided to collect donations for the Jubilee Food Bank in Market Harborough. A collection table will be set up in the school hall from Tuesday 20th September until the October half-term break. 

If you would like to make a donation, the Jubilee Food Bank have made a list of most useful foods below. Thank you so much for your support.

The Most Useful Foods

Please note that all food needs to be non-perishable, long-life or tinned.  ​

​MOST NEEDED​: URGENT​​​

  • Corned beef (tinned)
  • Tinned ham

​We would also appreciate:​​

  • Other beans: chickpeas, kidney beans...

  • Used, clean, strong 'bags for life', strong carrier bags 

  • Jars of sandwich paste

  • Crackers (cream crackers or similar)

  • Sugar (small bags if possible, 500g)

  • Packets of Rice (500g if possible)

  • Tinned hot dogs

  • Powdered mashed potato (like Smash)

  • Fruit (tinned) 

  • Rice pudding (tinned) 

  • Jam

  • Crackers

  • Custard

  • Cereal

  • Chicken in white sauce (tinned)

  • Spam/Ham/Corned beef (tinned)

  • Pasta sauce

  • Tinned red meat such as bolognaise or stewed beef

  • Fray Bentos pies

  • Tinned Ham

  • Tinned peas

  • Bottles of squash

  • Jars of curry sauce to go with rice
  • UHT Semi-Skimmed milk

  • UHT Whole milk

  • UHT juice

  • Bottled water (for street homeless)

  • Biscuits

  • Tinned potatoes

  • Tinned meatballs

  • Tomatoes (tinned)

  • Jars of coffee

  • Snack bars

  • Small packets of nuts

  • Hot chocolate


We don’t currently need:​

  • Baked beans

  • Baked beans with sausage

  • Carrots

  • Sweetcorn
