September Newsletter
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we settle into the new academic year, I’d like to begin by sharing how incredibly proud we are of all our Fox Cubs. They have transitioned wonderfully into life at Foxton School. It’s a real joy to see how quickly they are making new friends, embracing learning, and becoming part of our school community.
I’m also pleased to share that as of the 1st of September, Foxton officially academised and is now part of Symphony Learning Trust. This is a wonderful step for our school. While we are excited about the benefits, including collaboration with other like-minded schools and access to greater resources, support and opportunities, I want to reassure you that we retain full autonomy of everything we treasure at Foxton. Our values, vision, and unique identity remain firmly at the heart of all we do.
Up until the weekend, we were blessed with some wonderful sunshine this term, which allowed us to maximise the use of our outdoor spaces. Children have been able to engage in exciting science experiments outside, such as testing air resistance, adding a hands-on approach to their learning. Other classes have spent time in our forest area and on nature walks, foraging materials for artwork and connecting with nature. These important learning experiences enrich our curriculum and give children important opportunities to explore their creativity and curiosity.
